Description:
This is an early, full box of .44-40 ammunition “For Winchester Rifles" manufactured by UMC with black powder and 217 grain bullets. The two piece buff box is solid with a great cartridge cut and Winchester call out. The green and black primary and side labels with orange bottom label and are in very good condition with some of the back side label missing and light edge wear. The cartridges have matching headstamps and are correct for the box with varying amounts of tarnish and verdigris on the primers and excellent flat nose lead bullets.
