This Sharps is in fine condition with about 50% original blue remaining. Marked "Old Reliable". Octagon barrel measures 30 inches and 1-3/8 inches across the flats. Fine bore. Replacement of the period front sight and Sharps rear sight. Upper tang does not have a serial number visible. It shows evidence of being repaired and is done very nicely but left the tang absent of a serial number. The barrel has 158508 on the bottom. Wood has pretty decent figure to it and is in very good condition with a considerable amount of varnish remaining. The forearm has some dings and mars. Correct iron buttplate and patch box. Frame shows good traces of case color turning a silver color. Double triggers work fine. This is a MONSTER of a Sharps weighing 17 pounds!
