Description:
From my personal collection. This Winchester Model 94 SRC Trapper carbine was purchased brand new on Nov. 2, 1980 by my late father and has been in our family since then. It is a pre-USRA, top eject, 30-30 with 16" barrel, plain walnut stocks, blued finish, open sights, black plastic butt plate, with factory saddle ring and factory holes on the left side of the receiver for a peep sight. After 41 years and no one with good enough eyes for open sights, it is time for it to move to another family for another 41 years of faithful service.

CONDITION: Barrel and mag tube are 99% original factory blue. Receiver is 98% original factory blue with a small nickel-size spot by the serial number that is turning plum. The stocks show just a few light nicks from hunting and range use. Tight action with a properly working half cock safety. Being pre-USRA, it is not drilled and tapped for a scope, it is top eject instead of angle eject, and does not have the stupid rebounding hammer. The original sights are intact. My father, to get a better sight picture, removed a little bit of the blue from the tip of the front sight, otherwise this carbine is unmolested. The bore is near mint, and it still shoots great. There is some spotting to the butt plate from sitting on foam in the gun safe for many years but this is cosmetic only and there is no damage. Unfortunately the original box and paperwork were lost to water damage but the carbine did not see any of that water and is very near new. Seldom offered for sale and becoming collector's prizes, these pre-USRA top-eject carbines are a must-have for the lever action enthusiast. Give it a good home as we have for the past 41 years!
