Model 1894 Winchester 30 WCF Saddle Ring Carbine MFG 1910.
Description: Model 1894 Winchester saddle ring carbine from Texas. The Lady that owned this rifle claimed that this carbine belonged to Pancho Villa and was given to one of her relatives and then passed down to her. She reprtedly had an original photo showing her relative with Villa and Villa is holding a 94 carbine. She would not allow copies the photo adn not one of those attached. Winchester Cody Center confirms the year is right and the gun age fits. But it is just a story without proof. Just rely on the gun, not the story. It is a 1910 Winchester SRC. Original sights, nice original wood, metal has wear and pantina but no pitting. Bore is frosty but shootable-might clean up. Riflings are fair. Buttplate is original and screws are good. All markings are legible and action is clean and works great. Full length tube. The saddle ring is a replacement. The word Texas is carved into right forearm wood. Just a good old solid SRC that will always have value. It is a neat piece to shoot or add to your collection. .
