This is an early Reid seven-shot 22 caliber rimfire revolver with the sliding safety device that locks the cylinder at a mid point. The left side of the frame has the desirable early MY FRIEND marking below the cylinder. The brass frame has decorative scroll engraving. The blued cylinder has turned a smooth plum. The serial number is 4434 with the cylinder pin being numbered with the last two digits, 34. The action functions correctly. This interesting and distintive revolver can also be used as brass knuckles for fighting.
