For your consideration is an excellent condition WWII German M31 Mess Tin (Kochgeschirr).
This M31 is made of painted aluminum - the body & lid are free from any dents & absolutely no corrosion. The exterior of the tin retains (lid & body) retain 95% of their green paint. The interior of the tin & lid are exceptionally clean as well; exhibiting only minor hints of use. The lid handle is painted steel & does exhibit some light surface rust that is very common of WWII German mess tins. The wire handle is completely intact & functions as intended.
The tin is marked "FWBN 44" indicating manufacture in 1944. I have been unable to locate this particular ordnance code so if anyone has any leads please let me know.
