This is a WW2 Springfield Armory M1 Garand calibered in .30-06 . This rifle has a 5 digit serial number (75686) dating its manufacture to 1940. Bolt is marked with 6528287- SA A14. Cartouche has visible and approprioate proofs. This rifle was the standard U.S. service rifle during World War II and the Korean War and also saw limited service during the Vietnam War. Most M1 rifles were issued to U.S. forces, though many hundreds of thousands were also provided as foreign aid to American allies. This particular rifle is in great condition and is fully functional.
