Description:
Good condition saddle ring fore arm stock for the Winchester Model 1892 in calibers 38-40 and 44-40, and also all calibers of the Winchester Model 1894. This is a standard length fore arm measuring approximately 9 1/2" long. It is gumwood, not walnut, coming off a Model 1894 SRC made about 1909. There is the typical split forward of the barrel band common to these as the gumwood was not as strong as walnut, and a couple of chips/nicks at the same end, otherwise no extra holes and it has never been cleaned, sanded or refinished, exhibiting light usage marks. The fit to the receiver and barrel was perfect with no gaps or loss anywhere. Good piece to replace your damaged beater!
