Here we present an antique English W. Mills Engraved Flintlock Pistol with a Snap Bayonet, manufactured circa the early 19th Century. This little self-defense pistol would have been most at home in the pocket of anyone in the busy cities of Europe during the 1800s. This pistol is small, light and simple. This little jewel was extra special, because once one had expended their single shot, they had a backup bayonet for defense!
The left side of the frame is marked with “W. MILLS” and his address at “120 HOLBORN”. Birmingham proofs. “LONDON” on the right side of the frame.
The overall condition is good+. Excellent action all around, including full function of the snap bayonet. Very good bore. Firm grip in good shape, has been repaired on both sides near the frame. Engraved frame. Here is a truly unique flintlock pistol with some fearsome attributes!
