Caliber .22 Short. 28 inch #3 full octagon barrel with vernier folding tang sight and excellent bore. Original 3X grade pistol grip checkered Schuetzen style stock is in excellent condition with most original lacquer intact. Helm buttplate and Dutch pattern cheekpiece. Overall gun is excellent with 98% original barrel blue. 75-80% bright vivid case colors. The Schuetzen rifles with a case colored frame are really quite unusual. They are generally later guns than that. Complete with Factory Letter of Authenticity which states “no rear sight seat” but this has got a sight dovetail for a rear sight-probably an oversight or somebody put it in at a later time. If that’s the case, they did a perfect job. Formerly in the Eldon Owens collection.
