The Armalite AR 7 Explorer .22 rifle was a survival semi-auto rifle used by the US Airforce for survival hunting etc.The magazine holds 7 .22 long rifle bullets and the gun comes apart in 4 parts and they fit inside the plastic stock, as seen in the photos. With the gun thus stored the stock will float on water if in an accident. This unit is an early one with the camouflage stock and Armalite logo. Later the company got bought by Charter Arms and the stock was changed to black.
I am a private collector/hobbist who is downsizing during retirement.
