Description:
This is a 1858 Navy Model Remington reproduction converted to cartridge for me 40 years ago by the famous master miniature firearms maker Mike Barrett of Minnesota. This gun was originally a .36 caliber, but was re-chambered to .44 Russian caliber. I am pretty sure the recoil shield, cylinder and barrel were manufactured from stock steel. Later on I had the engraving added and still later found the bone grips and modified them to fit. A cute little feature is the hand held ejector rod hidden in the ball rammer. The mechanics are perfect. Locks up super tight. This revolver is fully functional. This is a extremely rare Barrett collectable.
