This is the rarest of the Express 1885's, there being only 431 made in 38EXP.
What adds to the rarity of this rifle is the FREUND BROTHERS patented buckhorn rear and blade front sights.
This same sights can be found on a Remington Rolling Block pictured on page 222 of Roy Marcots "Remington Rolling Block Rifles" book.
A well known sight collector informed me that the sights on this rifle are worth $2000.00 - $2500.00 alone.
