Description:
Japanese Type 99 Last Ditch Arisaka Rifle. In good looking condition it is known as the "Last Ditch" version because of the simplified/emergency production techniques as the end of the war neared. Such as rougher fit and finish, simple rear peep sight, short hand guard, rough welded parts and the wooded butt plate. This rifle has the royal chrysanthemum on the receivers top, which makes it very desireable. Good overall condition. It appears to have matching serial numbers bolt to receiver. Chambered in 7.7 Japanese the bore is brite and excellent.
Makes a fine display for the military collector.
