Description:
Savage Model 99R in 300 Savage. Built in 1954, this rifle has a 24" barrel with a mint bore. Other features include: factory drilled and tapped for scope mounts, lever safety, cartridge counter, cocking indicator, jeweled bolt, hand checkered walnut stock and forend, factory drilled for a tang peep sight, sling swivels,and factory steel buttplate. The rifle is in excellent original condition retaining 98% of the original blue and wood finish. There is one very small hairline crack on the right side of the stock. Otherwise the stock is sound especially behind the top tang. The rifle retains 95% of the original case color on the lever. This is a classic 99 that would make a great all around big game rifle. C&R eligible.
