Winchester 1892 .44 WCF caliber rifle. This is a 20" short rifle with correct short forend. Manufactured approximately 1905. Bore is fair to poor with worn rifling and corrosion. Action works perfectly. Gun has an unusual Tang sight. Gun is .44-40 caliber. Model 92 short rifles are much more difficult to find than model 1894 short rifles.
