Description:
Winchester model 97 in 16 gauge built in 1940. This gun has a 30" barrel choked full. The gun is in excellent original condition. It retains 90% of the original blue and wood finish and has not been altered in any way. The bore is bright and free of any rust or pitting. The stock is sound with no cracks or damage. The stock retains the original Winchester buttplate. 16 gauge 97s are not common and usually saw hard use. This one is used but has been properly cared for over the 81 years since it was built. It would make a great turkey or pheasant gun or a fun gun to bust clays with. C&R eliglble.
