Description:
SOLD With a serial #703823, this .50 cal., 24" octagon barrel with an excellent bore showing a few spots of light oxidation along the grooves. The barrel retains about 97% original blue with a few scattered impact marks, specks of oxidation and edge wear with a more pronounced impact mark on the right side of the barrel approximately 7" from the muzzle. The lockplate retains about 98% lightly softened color case-hardened finish, the hammer has muted to gray with light oxidation along the neck while the brass furniture is a bright goldenrod with some minor patches of staining and light surface marks. The walnut stock remains very good plus with minor blemishes in its original gloss finish, a sling swivel toward the heel of the stock. The original sights are in place, and the proper brass tipped ramrod is included.When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith before shooting.
