Description:
A very good condition T.C. with a 27" fully blued rifled barrel and original sights.The bore is mirror clean and sharp rifling. The set trigger action works well, and comes with a hard-wood ram-rod with an iron tip A clean gun with very good Amwrican walnut srock with maybe a couple of small field handling dings and a patch of sap wood up near the left escheceon plate. The engraved lock and hammer have veey strong , vivid color case hardening. The rifled bore looks very good and at arms length this gun amost looks unfired! With a serial #70283, .54 cal., 27” octagon barrel with a bright excellent bore with strong rifling. The rifle retains about 97% original blue with a few small spots of pinprick pitting at the breech, a few tiny spots of loss toning to gray on the left quarter flat, minor high edge and muzzle wear and a few scattered small spots of light oxidation. The hammer and lockplate retain strong original case-hardened colors and feature light foliate scroll engraving. The smooth walnut straight grip half-stock rates near excellent with a few scattered light handling marks while the Parkerized buttplate displays some light oxidation and heel wear. The rifle comes equipped with double set triggers, a fixed blade front sight and an adjustable square-notch rear sight and a 26 1/2” wooden ramrod is included..
