For sale is an extremely nice and well cared for LC Smith SxS "Ideal Grade" 20 ga. shotgun. Serial number 4845. Manufactured in 1913. All serial numbers match.... see photos. Case coloring is still like new. Nice wood with absolutely no cracks or splits. The forend has the Curtis button release that was first introduced in 1913 and marked on the underside of the forend, PATAPIDFOR ( patent applied for).
Weight is right at 6 lbs. 14" LOP. Chambered for 2 3/4" with extractors. 30" barrels. LC Smith did not mark their barrels, but both barrels chocked for modified, measuring 0.595.
Overall condition for this 108-year-old shotgun is a very strong 98+% with only one very small mark on the left barrel (see photo) and a small mark on the vent rib. Shipping is actual cost plus insurance. Item will be shipped in a hard plastic case. Inquires are welcome. Additional photos on request.
