Antique Prussian German Hanger Sword circa 1786-1816 Possible Danish
I have limited knowledge regarding this type sword. I have found pictures of identical swords & the general consensus is it is Prussian & about the date I have indicated. There were several chat rooms where some of the participants thought it was made in Prussia for Denmark.
I do not know what the cipher on the guard is which I am sure is the key to Identifying this sword.
The overall condition of the sword is good. The blade has a couple of very small nicks in the edge & some staining & surface rust. The sword is tight. OAL is 31 3/4". Blade length is 26". One side of the grip is spiral, the other side is smooth. Shipping $20
