Description:
Made in 1928 on a #3 Frame - this extraordinary and exquisite Parker has it all - rarity, condition, and provenance!  The gun is a BHE Grade 10ga gun made with original 34" barrels with factory original ventilated rib.  Gun made with splinter forend, auto ejectors, auto safety, original Parker single selective trigger, straight grip buttstock with factory original checkered butt and factory dished comb which is quite comfortable when mounting hte gun.  The gun is beautifully engraved in goose motif on trigger plate, double dogs on sides surrounded by Parker scroll.

Mitchell ordered this gun new in 1928.  Sadly, he passed away in 1936 so it was likely only used by him for just a few seasons- this also explains the guns extraoardinary original condition.  Mitchell needs no introduction as a WWI hero and is credited with organizing what we know as the Air Force today.  Much can be read about Mitchell including his Wikipedia entry which can be found here:  ://en.wikipedia/wiki/Billy_Mitchell

The gun remains in exceptional all original condition with more than 98% original barrel blue, 95% dark bold and vivid original case color, and more than 97% original wood finish.  Checkering is crisp and original.  This gun is pictured in full color on page 655 (Volume 2) of The Parker Story.  Given that Parker only made 2 10ga BHE Grade Guns with steel barrels and 1 AHE, for condition, provenance, and rarity this is truly the finest steel barrel big bore Parker there is.  It is also only the second steel barrel 10ga I have seen with a factory original ventilated rib.  The rarity and merit of this gun simply cannot be overstated!!!

Priced upon request to interested parties and must be shipped to an FFL or C&R.  Please dont hesitate to contact me wtih any questions on this exceptional Parker at (704) 280-2382 or via PM on this site.
