#73302, Hubertus 20 x 20 x 22 Savage Hi-Power (5.6 x 52R), A Suhl, Germany Drilling Made in 1963, It remains in superb original condition, Best quality 300 series action body with double underlugs with double bite with a rib extension & a crossbolt, Their Lightweight Alloy Dural Frame, 24 3/8" barrels, The 20 bore barrels at .623 .008 & .015" (Imp.Cyl. & Mod.), Original 2 3/4" chambers, The rifle barrel is Poldi Anticorro steel, Factory installed Claw mounts with a rail mounted 1 1/4 - 4 x 20 Schmidt & Bender quality scope, The S&B has a duplex reticle with heavier bars at 3 - 6 & 9 o'clock, Full length solid rib with 1 folding rear sight that is actuated with the top tang rifle barrel selector, Bolstered frame, Side clip action body, All 3 barrels with steel bushed strikers, Scalloped frame, Cocking indicators, The front trigger is a set trigger, 5 locking screws on key screws on the frame, Steel trigger guard, Very nice wood with excellent black/brown contrast, Shadowline cheekpiece, Sling swivels, For shotgun shooting it is 14 1/4 x 1 11/16 x 2 1/8" at the slight monte carlo comb, It points great, This piece is 6 lbs. 12 oz. without the scope and 7 lbs. 12 oz. with the Schmidt & Bender, 99% game scene and oak leaf engraving coverage that is well done, The original barrel blue is at 99%, The original frame finish at 99%, The wood remains at 96% with very light handling marks, The original checkering both fore & aft is at 100%, The shotgun bores remain as new, The rifle bore is as new, The bottom of the frame is also engraved "Hubertus Suhl" and "Wotan" (Supreme God in Germanic Mythology). Ammo can be had from Sellier & Bellot, Norma and our friends at Buffalo Arms. However, this piece comes with RCBS dies and a fair amount of RWS brass. The Duraluminum alloy metal was developed by the Dürener Company in Germany in 1909. It was used by Walther in the pre-war era to produce lighter pistols. This Suhl made Drilling still has all its mechanical life left, it is tight, on the face and is as solid as new. This quality gun represents all the fine features of a Classic Suhl made Drilling.
