This Colt revolver was made in 1899 in the infamous .38 Long Colt cartridge. The failure of this cartridge in the Philippine campaign saw the U.S. Army return to .45 caliber handguns. In good condition both cosmetically and mechanically, this is a piece of classic history. This is a civilian revolver and lacks military proof marks. .38 Long Colt
