Description:
Smith & Wesson model K-22 Masterpiece chambered in .22 Long Rifle. Smith & Wesson built these on a "K", or medium frame. It is a tapered, 4-inch-barreled, double-action revolver, with adjustable open sights. Many believe this model was designed as a training weapon for law enforcement officials and others who primarily carried Model 10's, 15's and 19's chambered in .38 Special and .357 magnum. The target model operates and handles in a similar fashion to these law enforcement models of the day. They share similar size, weight, grips, and internal mechanism. The only significant difference is the .22 caliber. Overall a very nice piece of history to add to a collection. .22 Long Rifle
