Description:
.50 caliber centerfire, 32 1/2" barrel, trapdoor action. Springfield lock dated "1864", full length walnut stock bearing the U.S. inspector's cartouche on the left side. In very fine condition retaining most of the blue on the barrel and breech. The lock showing much of the casehardened finish starting to fade. Very fine wood and good cartouche. Nice bright bore.
