Original throughout with vivid case coloring to receiver, fading case colors to lever, slightly crazed varnish to wood. Crisp factory markings, 98% bluing to barrel and magazine tube. Crisp tight action, handling marks and abrasions to wood. Manufactured post 1898, four digit serial number with letter prefix.
Manufactured over a century ago, this Marlin 1893 lever-action .30-30 rifle helped establish the brand’s reputation as one of the prominent brands of 19th-century America. This Western-styled repeater has become symbolic of the Wild-West, with this design featuring a crescent-shaped metallic buttplate, straight-grip 2-piece dark walnut stock, upper tang marked “Model 1893”, blued barrel marked “Special Smokeless Steel”, and an original color casehardened finish to the remaining metal components.
