Description:
"

This is a matching Artillery Luger rig. The 9mm DWM-manufactured Model 1914 artillery pistol is dated 1917 on the chamber. With the exception of the unnumbered grips and correct style unnumbered wood base magazine, the pistol and stock are numbered 6133e (or just 33, as appropriate) on all parts including the firing pin. The 8"" barrel has an excellent bore with bright, strong rifling. It is equipped with the desirable fine tune front and rear sights. The pistol retains approx. 97% blue with light wear on high spots. The straw parts are excellent. The grips are excellent with no cracks or chips. The front strap is lightly marked K.1.R. 77. 11. 20. We have not been able to identify this unit. The action functions correctly. The holster and stock are fine. The stock attaching iron is numbered 6133e and the stock has a clear crown over D inspection stamp on the left side. The stock is fine with no cracks or chips. The holster is fine with all straps present. The stitching is intact. Based on the white-red color of the stitching, it does not appear that the holster has had finish added. The shoulder straps and attaching cap strap are supple but do show expected wear and finish loss. The correct takedown/loading tool and cleaning rod are present. Based on its overall excellent condition, this desirable artillery Luger rig must have escaped the rigors of WWI trench warfare. They are quite scarce today as many were destroyed after the war. You will never need to improve on this rig!
