Description:
An antique Model 1863 U.S. double rifled musket. It was made by J.P. Lindsay of New York, with a total production of about 1000 guns. The barrel is stamped, at the semi octagonal breech, ”Lindsay Patent’d Oct. 9, 1860”. It has a beautiful walnut stock and is loaded with superposed loads.

Condition: Unused condition with much original polish remaining with some old dried grease present in a few areas – Stock has sharp edges and strong cartouches, but has a hairline crack at the wrist – Bright is bore – Action is crisp.
