SOLD!! This is a very nice, 1916 Colt Single Action Army revolver featuring a 4 3/4" barrel and chambered in 38 WCF (38-40). It was shipped to Cullum & Boren Sporting Goods in Dallas ,Texas on Decemeber 7th, 1916 . This one has an Austin, Texas connection too as it was sold to J.A. Jackson Sporting Goods in Austin, Tx. This gun is in excellent condition retaining most of its original blueing and some hints of the color case hardening on the frame although most of that has faded. The bore is a solid 8 out of 10 showing only minor frosting in the lands is certain areas with strong , crisp rifling. The action is tight and it is times perfectly. The gun show very little signs of being shot very much and was certainly not carried. The original grips are superb. Another desirable feature of this gun is the short lived " Rocking Rampant Pony" logo on the left side of the frame. Used for only a couple of years beginning in 1916. Overall, this is one of the nicest, all original, 1st generation Colt SAA's that you will find. The Colt Archives Factory letter is included. Shipping to your FFL from my FFL is FREE in most of the lower 48 states. C&R is OK in most cases. No shipping to California, New York, or other restrictive states.
