This Smith & Wesson Model 31-1 .32 Revolver was manufactured in the mid 1900s and based on earlier Hand-Ejector Models. This revolver's traditional design incorporates a pinned barrel with 3-screw side plate, smooth, dark walnut grips with diamond checkering and embedded with signature Smith & Wesson medallions on each side. The revolver's weight distribution and its petite grip provide a comfortable hold at the firing position, resulting in a confident shot. The frame, cylinder and barrel bear a blued finish, while the trigger and hammer are color casehardened. The left-side of the barrel reads "Smith & Wesson", and the right-side is marked ".32 S.&W. Long". Beneath the cylinder on the right-side the frame is marked "Made in U.S.A. - Marcas Registradas - Smith & Wesson - Springfield, Mass."
