Winchester Model 1873 Rifle fitted with a 24 inch octagon barrel, full length tube magazine, walnut forearm, walnut stock with steel crescent butt-plate, standard rifle open sights, and chambered in .38-40. This 1910 vintage 1873 is in excellent original condition, retaining 85% blue on the barrel and magazine tube, and 70% blue on the receiver/lower tang. The lever retains little of its original color case hardened finish, mostly turned a silver/grey patina. The butt-plate retains faint traces of its color case hardened finish, mostly turned a silver/light grey patina. The bore is bright with sharp rifling, the action is tight and functions perfectly, and the dust cover fits well and operates as it should. The stock and forearm retain 70% of their original finishes, with most loss on the forearm due to handling. There are assorted minor handling marks on the wood, a ding/dent on the bottom of the tube magazine, and a minor corrosion spot on the top of the barrel, between the front sight and forearm tip.
