Estate Find: (Rare) New Old/Stock Beautiful Find, Two Browning Model 71 Lever Action High Grades, in The Powerful .348 Winchester Caliber Matching Rifle/Carbine Set. In Their Original Browning Boxes. They only jmade 3000 Total of these Model 71 High Grades, and Even Way Fewer Matching Sets. They are in New Unfired Excellent Condition they even still have some of the Original packing Cosmoline Grease on them in places. The Wood Butt Stocks and Forends are Highly Figured Walnut, with Steel Butt Plates. They have Buckhorn Style Ramped Rear Sight with a Hooded Front Blade Sight, and 1/2 Length Magazine Tubes. The Coin Finished Reciever is Engraved with Scrolls and Guilded Game Scenes on Either Side. The Left side of the Receiver Features Two Gold Bull Elk and the Right Side a Small Gold Image of a Buck in Mid-Jump. The Browning Model 71 was conceived replacement for both the Model 1886 and Model 1895 as a compliment to the Model 70 bolt action rifle. The Rifle and Cartridge were Very Effective against Any North American Big Game in heavy timber, including Grizzly Bears if using the 250-grain Bullet. It is a very popular hunting rifle in Alaska and Canada. This Browning Model 71 Lever Action Matched Set, Would be a Wonderful Addition to any Browning Collection, or the Start of a New Browning Collection.
