Antique 1853 full 3 band Slant Breach Sharps style percussion rifle with no Sharps markings indicating manufacturing in another Country. This is most likely part of the large lot of military rifles manufactured circa 1860 and found in Kathmandu, Nepal and imported into the US about 20 years ago. The wood but stock is in very good condition, the fore arm showing much use and numerous dents. The barrel and metal parts are still in the bright with a scattered brown patina and some light pitting The action works fine. The bore is rifled and approximately 54 caliber. Both front and rear sights as well as the sling swivels are present. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
