Springfield M1 Garand .308 conversion
SERIAL NUMBER 2222804 BARREL 24" CALIBER 308 / 7.62 NATO. MANUFACTURED 1944. WW2 production M1 Garand rifle with later conversion to 7.62 Nato / .308 Winchester. using M14 20 round magazine and chamber sleeved to accommodate the shorter Nato cartridge. Changes include the utilization of the M14 trigger group, custom operating rod spring guide assembly and magazine well insert to allow the insertion of the M14 magazine as well as fitting the stock to accept the magazine as well. Removal of the Garand clip release. CONDITION. Good with fine bore and action operates properly under manual inspection. Wood is new and in great except a gouge in the fore stock that happened during shipping. Has locking bar rear sight.
