The serial number puts this gun in the correct range falling between 100000 and 280000. Marked "US Model 1873" on the trapdoor. 129k serial range. Hooded front sight. Original "C" marked rear sight as well. Excellent bore. Wood has had some linseed oil added and is in fine condition with visible cartouche. Cleaning rod in the trap door. Sling swivel with the carbine saddle ring mounted to it. This is a rare carbine. This gun has about 90% blue remaining. Strong case colors present on the trapdoor. Who ever applied the oil was a little sloppy. Gun would be much nicer looking once that was cleaned off.
