Colt Model 1900 Sight Safety pistol chambered in .38 Colt with a 6'' barrel. This is a very rare first year production pistol that is one of only 250 shipped to the Navy. It is an exceptional all original survivoer. The sight safety is unaltered and fully functional. The charcoal blue finish still retaiins a deep dark shine throughout. There is absolutely no patina on this pistol. Most of the leading edges remain very sharp. There is lots of fire blue remaining on the trigger and small parts. The color casing is strong on the hammer on on top of the sight safety. There is various light and scattered handling and overall the finish rates 96%. The bore is bright and shiny with strong lands and grooves. The chamber area is very clean. It has the correct nickel magazine. The original grips show scattered bumps and bruises.
