LOCK IS FULLY FUNCTIONAL WITH GOOD LEGIBLE MARKINGS & 1849 DATE. BARREL A BROWN GRAY PATINA WITH BROWN PATINA ON OTHE STEEL METAL PARTS. BRASS FURNITURE A NICE OLD UNCLEANED OCHRE PATINA. WALNUT STOCK SHOWS BATTLE USE AND CRACKS AS PICTURED. THIS PISTOL HAS BEEN AROUND THE BLOCK A FEW TIMES BUT STILL WOULD MAKE A WORTHWHILE EXAMPLE ADDITION TO YOUR COLLECTION or RESTORATION PROJECT, AS PICTURED & FOUND.
