"Needham Conversion of a U.S. Model 1861/63 Bridesburg Musket. Bore is very good. Metal parts have been “cleaned" to an “in the white" appearance. Lock was not cleaned. These Needham conversions have an interesting history having been used in both Incursions into Canada by the Fenian Brotherhood, a society of Irishmen who sought to attack and control part of Canada in an attempt to make the British give the Irish their independence in Ireland. Several hundred were used in both attempts. Very good plus condition.
