Description:
A fancy gun with engraving done by Gustave Young. Beautifully done. On top of the rib is "Wesson Fine Arms Springfield Mass". Gun is in fine condition mechanically. Sharp markings. Barrels have turned a plum/brown. Receiver has about 50% case color remaining. Wood has some wear to the checkering but still very good with correct steel skeletonized buttplate. Repaired crack at the wrist. May have been professionally shortened as the barrels are about 20 inches. There is estimated that less than 200 of these were ever manufactured.
