Description:
A Favorite of classical African hunters and writers such as W.M.D. Bell and Ernest Hemingway, this rifle and its 6.5×54mm cartridge has handily proven itself as a fantastic plains game cartridge. As well Hemingway touted it as a fine lion cartridge and Bell is known to have taken as many as 300 elephants with it. In addition to its sporting usage this rifle has a proven service record with the Austrian-Hungarian Empire, the Kingdom of Greece, Albania and even saw some use with various warlords armies during the Chinese Civil War under the Republic of China (Taiwan). Utilizing an at the time novel rotating spool magazine paired with its lightweight and potent cartridge, this rifle would serve finely in most all of the United States for medium and some big game. 6.5x54mm
