Over the past two decades, Stag, the first major maker of true left-hand AR-15's, has built its 100% US-made Stag-15 line (left & right) into one of the go-to sources for premium factory AR-15's. This Stag-15 is the company's basic full-featured tactical model, featuring a full-length Picatinny rail uninterrupted across the receiver and long 13.5” M-LOK handguard, Magpul MOE furniture, and rugged, corrosion-resistant Bolt Carrier Group (BCG). Stag builds all its AR's from the ground up from US parts with everything expected in a classic mil-spec AR-15. The Tactical adds on the best features, options, and components that have evolved in the AR design over the years to improve accuracy, reliability, and handling. Built on Stag's own high-strength anodized 7075 T6 aluminum alloy upper and lower receivers, this model boasts a 16" government-profile heavy 4140 chrome-lined, steel, parkerized barrel with 1-7 twist rifling and A2-style “birdcage” flash hider mounted at the end of the threaded muzzle. A 6-position collapsible Magpul MOE stock and pistol grip provides solid comfort and stability for any shooting position. An uninterrupted length of M1913 Picatinny rail spans the flat-top receiver (numbered) and long 13 ½” M-LOK SL handguard, which is free-floated to enhance accuracy & reliability and completely shield the mid-length gas system and low-profile gas block. This system makes it east to mount popular optics, or accessories. The BCG is a phosphate-coated M-16 type. Controls include a mil-spec charging handle, 2-position left-side safety, cartridge case deflector, ejection-port cover, recessed right-side mag release button, and standard bolt catch. The overall color scheme is business like matte black, and the rifle comes with one 30-round hi-cap Magpul PMAG mag. This carbine is light and handy, but it is an extremely capable AR package too.
