Here is a handsome snap-action under-lever hammergun by William Lee (of Lancaster and Birmingham.) The 32" nitro-proved barrel has a striking Damascus pattern. The chamber is 2 3/4" and the choke is .019 (approximately light modified.) The barrel has a faceted breech. The bar-action sidelock action features a carved percussion fence. The lock is rebounding, and functions crisply. The fore-end has a keyed release. The metal at the tang is slightly proud of the wood. The wood is in fine condition with crisp checkering at wrist and fore-end. The stock measures 1 3/8" x 2 x 13 3/4" over a smooth steel butt-plate. The cast is neutral. The gun weighs 7 lbs 9 oz. Single shots are fun to hunt with, and this would be a dandy for wild roosters or decoyed ducks.
