Description:
Serial #286893, 7.5mm Swiss, 30 3/4" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a very nice rifle that has matching numbers on the receiver, barrel, bolt, and magazine with the metal retaining 97-98% of the original blue finish that has silvered slightly at the muzzle, as well as some of the high edges. The bolt still has its armory bright finish with some light wear marks on the bearing surfaces, a few spots of mild freckling, and the ruddy-brown resin handle is intact. The wooden stock and handguard have small handling marks and minor blemishes in the armory-reapplied finish, but the Solothurn stamp is still crisp and clear on the comb of the butt. A small surface chip is missing from the nose of the handguard, just ahead of the muzzle-band. This is a fine example of a non-import marked Schmidt-Rubin rifle, and would make a great addition to a collection. FFL or C&R
