Two band 1853 Enfield style .55/.58 cal. smooth bore musket with a 32" barrel and a clean, clear bore. the barrel is profusely marked with India proofs from Jaipur Armory. Guns were made for the English Empire since the 18th century (Brown Bess) right up through and after the World War II. The barrel is full blued as is the lock-plate marked : N.J.S. UDAIPUR. Comes with the brass on a chain nipple protector like the original, and has a leather sling. Action works well, and these are used for hunting and Civil War re-enactors.Brass nose cap and butt-plate, with blued steel barrel bands. The steel ram-rod is an exact copy of the Enfield 1853 style.a strong usable musket, made about 1973!When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith before shooting.
