CO, London, England, during the War! 2nd Pattern F-S Knives have a drop forged, hand ground, & hand sharpened blade by Wilkinson's Master Blade Smiths. This superb example survives in Near Mint/MINT condition! The 6 1/4” Drop Forged, hand ground, hand sharpened blade is pristine mint with no wear and 100% original deep blued finish, no scratches. Only factory original razor sharp edge. The crossguard shows no wear, and has a light strike /|\B…w/a faint partial 2. /|\B2 Many like this have a very weak strike on the “2” of B2. This is common and it is not a separate variation. Wilkinson's was more concerned with making weapons of war, NOT stamping them! The knurled handle is mint with all of it’s dark finish present. The Pommel nut is pristine and untouched as per the picture. The original correct scabbard is in excellent condition, but no tabs remain, nor elastic retainer. The “England” import Stamp is seen at the top of the scabbard “frog”, and on the top of the crossguard crowded next to "/|\B2". It has also been mated with an Enfield Rifle Bayonet “Frog”, which was a common “field alteration” of the flimsy factory scabbard. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~The buyer certifies that he or she is of lawful age and is not prevented by any law from the purchase or possession of these items.
