Description:
This LC Smith OE grade has 30” Nitro proved Damascus barrels; is in Good Condition; has 2 ¾” chambers. The OE grade was a Delux Field with better wood and barrels.The barrels have great bores except for a few very miner dents and a ring in half way down the right barrel. I do not think this would effect the shooting quality and could be cleaned up. Full and full chokes. It locks up tight and functions perfectly. The automatic ejectors kick empties about 5 feet. The action retains about 30% original case colors and a few freckles on otherwise clean metal. The Damascus pattern on the barrels is very good and their inside would be excellent – no rust, or pits - if not for the above listed flaws. Minimum wall thickness 10" from the muzzle is 0.030" and at the ring 0.040". Wood is solid with excellent original checkering but has has had a coat of varnish applied. The stock has the usual minor nicks and scratches found on 100+ year old guns. Dimensions are: LOP – 14 1/8” to original HRBP; DC – 1 9/16”; and DH – 2 5/8”. Weight 7lb 14 oz. This gun has never been taken apart. A good old shooter.
