Description:
Offered is a very nice little Winchester Model 1873 Rinfire. This rifle is chambered in 22 Short caliber. Unlike most 1873 models this rimfire design uses a magazine carrier to load the shells through the end of the magazine. The carrier is in place and functions fully.
the gun is in excellent condition retaining aproximately 50-55% of its original blue finish on the receiver parts and aproximately 60% on the barrel and magazine surfaces.
there is some light pitting on the left side of the receiver. The wood stock and forend appear to be original with a full original Winchester finish. There is a fully repaired crack running down the right side of the forend, but is is sound and does not move. The bore retains full rifling with only some very small areas of corrosion.
This nice little Winchester should make a great shooter or a very nice addition to any Winchester collection.
