Diehm. Having taken heavy inspiration from what would become the Colt Woodsman he created two versions of his pistol, a single shot and an automatic. It was produced from 1925 through 1931, in that six years they are reported to have mad only 5000 pistols of both types. As a result of the Great Depression the company fell on hard times and was latter acquired by Carl Swebilius, a Winchester employee and part owner of the High Standard Manufacturing Company. As a matter of fact the Model 1925 greatly resembles the Model "B". This pistol would make a fine addition to anyones High Standard collection as a forgotten predecessor that helped lay the groundwork for later target .22 cal pistols.
