I have a pristine Colt Woodsman Match Target Pistol Series 2 for sale which was purchased by my grandfather probably between 1948 to 1953. It comes in original box and they quit making Colt Match Target pistols because I understand they required a lot of hand fitting. These pistols were the first rim semi-automatic pistol entering the general public. I obtained after grandfather died and it has rarely been used.
This Colt pistol was manufactured in Haptford, CT and has a 6” barrel shows 22520-S on one side and US Pat D: 121-317 on other side. It comes with a 10 bullet magazine with a notch which I understand shows Colt is a Series 2. The holster shows it was manufactured by George Lawreuse Company in Portland, Oregon shows 25 on top and MT6 (Match Target 6” barrel) on bottom.
